On Sunday AEK Athens and PAOK Thessaloniki clash in one of the biggest games in Greek league football and PAOK Nigerian Forward Chuba Akpom is savoring the contest to come.
PAOK and AEK rekindled their rivalry last season in the Cup final, decided by the odd goal; after Akpom struck late in the first half.
The forward is keen for this weekend’s battle, although, he admits this familiar foe are a tough bunch.
Between them, AEK Athens and PAOK share 15 league titles; the latter winning the latest.
On current form, Aspromavri sit three places above their more illustrious opponents, but are separated by a single point, which makes the fixture all the more interesting.
“It’s the biggest game in Greece Today and We’ve been preparing hard for it. We kind of know them very well, because we played against them in the Cup final last season,” Akpom told brila.net.
Sunday’s fixture will go down at the Athens Olympic Stadium.
