Otto-Addo outclassed Eguavoen tactically — Appiah

Former Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah believes that the Black Stars tactically outplayed the Super Eagles on Tuesday.

Appiah stated the Coach Otto Addo and his technical crew set up the team perfectly and their Nigerian counterparts couldn’t respond.

Ghana edged Nigeria on away goal rules and sealed a return to the FIFA World Cup, after missing the last edition in 2018.

Appiah, who qualified Ghana for the Brazil World cup in 2014, praised the technical team led by coach Otto Addo for getting the better of Austin Eguavoen led Super Eagles technical crew.

”I commend the Black Stars technical team for their tactical execution, their tactical changes helped the team a lot to seal the qualification, I think the technical team did a good job.”

“They did a good job against Nigeria and they couldn’t respond. It was a masterclass” Appiah told Oyerepa FM.

Ghana’s Balck Stars have now qualifies for the FIFA World Cup on four occasions.

They debuted in 2006, and reached the quarter final in the 2010, but failed to make it out of the group in 2014, before missing the tournament four years later .
