Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa has commended Victor Osimhen for clinching the African Player of the Year award.
In the first official team meeting since he was awarded the honor, Osimhen was celebrated by his Super Eagles teammates.
Addressing the Forward, Musa said:
“On behalf of all the team, we say congratulations once again. Like I told you in Egypt, patience and the perfect time. Now you can see, when you are patient, you will achieve a lot.
“This is just the beginning of the success you will achieve with the team. More of this to the team, and I wish you the best of luck.”
Victor Osimhen secured the prestigious award after an outstanding performance with Napoli, leading them to the Italian title with 26 goals last season.
Additionally, he played a crucial role, contributing 10 goals as Nigeria secured qualification for the Africa Cup of Nations.
