Victor Osimhen has scored more than five goals goal with his head for Napoli this season.
His latest header came in the 2-1 win over Udinese at the Diego Maradona Stadium on Sunday.
Osimhen’s incredible numbers in the air came as surprise to many, especially after psychologists and doctor predicted that, he might not fancy using his head, after fracturing his eyesocket and cheek born last October.
In a chat with the media, Osimhen said he has put the put the injury behind him and working hard in training to improve his heading ability.
“I think so, but I really try to master the heading in training and to be able to put this into practice in the game is a big advantage.”
However, wearing the protective mask is no longer mandatory after the devastating multiple facial fractures in October, but Osimhen says, he will continue to wear it, until the doctor asked him to stop.
“I will continue to use it until the doctors say I can go without it.” He said.
Osimhen has notched 14 goals for Napoli in all competition this season.
