Victor Osimhen finally breaks silence in the TikTok saga that ensued last week between the player and his Serie A club, Napoli.

Osimhen’s relationship with Napoli appeared to have hit the rocks after he was mocked on social media for missing a penalty kick against Bologna.

The club came under serious criticisms and were condemned by many, while his agent Roberto Calenda also threatened that his client might consider taking legal action against the Club.

Since the situation was first reported, Osimhen has been a different figure on the pitch, refusing to celebrate whernever he scored, and it fueled rumors that he could be on his way out of the club.

However, the 24-year-old, in a statement on his Instagram page, put the rumors to bed as he reiterated his commitment to Napoli, its fans and the entire city.

The statement reads:

Coming to the City of Naples in 2020 was a wonderful decision for me. The People of Napoli have shown me so much love and kindness, and I will not allow anyone to come between us.

The passion of the People of Naples fuels my fire to always play with my heart and soul, and the love for the badge is unwavering as I wear it with pride.

The accusations against the People of Naples are untrue. I have a lot of friends who are Napolitans and have become part of my family and everyday life. I appreciate Nigerians and everyone for lending their voices to support and reach out to me.
