Francesco Calzona confirms Victor Osimhen is getting back to his level after his hat-trick against Sassuolo on Wednesday.
Osimhen scored his second Serie A hat-trick as Napoli destroyed Sassuolo 6-1, taking the Striker’s tally to five goals in his last three games.
Uros Racic gave Sassuolo the lead against the run of play, however, Napoli turned the tie around with goals from Amir Rrahmani, Osimhen and Kvicha Kvaratskhelia.
“Victor is returning to his levels. Clearly, he wasn’t in great shape after the Africa Cup of Nations, he was away for over a month and is slowly rediscovering his form.
“Kvara also struggled, but today showed just what he can do,” Calzona told DAZN.
“I sensed positivity from the first training session, the lads aways gave me their all. I was surprised to see how eager they were to work, to stay together, and that gave me hope.”
Following his performance on the night, Osimhen takes his season’s goal tally to eleven in sixteen league matches.
