Super Eagles forward, Victor Osimhen is fit and available for the upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic in June.

Osimhen’s availability for the crucial matches had been uncertain due to his recent absence from the Napoli squad owing to an injury.

 

The striker missed Napoli’s game against Fiorentina following an injury sustained during their match against Bologna.

However, the talented forward marked his return to action for Napoli in their recent goalless draw against Lecce on Sunday.

Coming on as a substitute for Jens-Lys Cajuste in the 65th minute, Osimhen had a positive impact on the game.

With his return to fitness, Osimhen is now expected to join his national teammates for the highly anticipated clashes against South Africa and Benin Republic scheduled for next month.

Despite Napoli’s poor season, Osimhen has maintained impressive form, notching up 15 goals and three assists in 24 league appearances, emerging as the club’s leading goal scorer.

Over his four seasons with Napoli, he has amassed a remarkable record of 76 goals and 18 assists in 133 games, solidifying his status as one of the best finisher in Europe.
