Osimhen banking on experience of Musa, Omeruo and Ighalo to help beat Black Stars

Victor Osimhen opined that the experience of Ahmed Musa, Odion Ighalo and Kenneth Omeruo will be vital when Super Eagles clash with  Ghana this Tuesday.

The Super Eagles are dreaming of playing in their 7th FIFA World Cup and standing in their way, are the Black Stars who are also seeking their fourth appearance at the global football fiesta.

The qualification decider between Nigerian side will face the Otto Addo’s men will go down at the Moshood Abiola Stadium later today and Osimhen said the Super Eagles are ready.

“Ghana is a great team and we will never underrate the team just as we’ve been doing, we saw the upset the Central African Republic gave to us,” he admits.

“We know the importance of the game to us, our families, careers and the entire nation. This game is more than just football and we will give our best and also try to make sure we have the upper hand.”

Osimhen who understands his role in the team, said the entire squad is banking on the experience of the senior players to carry the team through.

“For me, I would do my best, but it’s not just about me, we have some inspirational players in the team like Ahmed Musa, Odion Ighalo, Kenneth Omeruo and other great players. With the help of their experience, we’ll be able to actualize this dream.” He told CAFonline.com.

Osimhen will be relied upon by Augustine Eguavoen’s side when they host the Black Stars in the reserve fixture of the FIFA World Cup playoff at Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja on Tuesday.
