Super Eagles interim head coach, Finidi George has expressed confidence in the team’s ability when they face Ghana and Mali in the international friendlies despite the absence of five key players due to injuries.

Finidi is overseeing the team’s preparation in Morocco where they’ll play Ghana this Friday at the Grand Stade de Marrakech, and four days later take on Mali.

The missing players include Victor Osimhen, Tyronne Ebuehi, Gabriel Osho and Taiwo Awoniyi, all sidelined with various injuries.

Speaking about the team’s preparation, Finidi George stated, “We will be missing four players who have pulled out due to injury but I have confidence in the team that we have here, that they will wear the green-white-green with pride and with patriotic fervour.”

Despite the setbacks, Finidi led his first training session on Tuesday and the second session on Wednesday.
