UEFA has named Asisat Oshoala’s strike as the Women’s Champions League Goal of the Season.
The reigning African champion’s powerful bicycle kick was selected from among the top ten goals of the 2023/24 UEFA Women’s Champions League campaign.
Oshoala netted the goal against Benfica in a game that Barcelona won 5-0, en route to claiming the UEFA Women’s Champions League title.
Though the 29-year-old moved to BAY FC in the NWSL, she still received a medal, having made two appearances for Catalan giants.
The Nigerian forward has played 10 matches for Bay FC in the United States, scoring 2 goals and providing 1 assist.
