Oshoala Joins Super Falcons Camp Ahead of Canada Friendly

Bay FC attacker Asisat Oshoala joined the senior women’s national team camp on Wednesday, bringing the number of players present to 15.

Oshoala’s arrival in Jerez de la Frontera follows her participation in Bay FC’s 3-0 defeat against Washington Spirit on Sunday.

The forward has been in impressive form this season, netting three goals and providing one assist in the NWSL.

The camp also welcomed other key players, including Rasheedat Ajibade and first-choice goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie.

They are joined by goalkeeper Tochukwu Oluehi, defenders Chidinma Okeke and Nicole Payne, midfielders Christy Ucheibe, Toni Payne, Deborah Abiodun, and Jennifer Echegini, as well as forward Esther Okoronkwo.

Defenders Osinachi Ohale and Michelle Alozie had arrived on Monday, preceding Oshoala’s entry.

The West African team is gearing up for a friendly match against Canada on July 17.

This encounter will serve as preparation before they head to the Olympic Games, where they will compete in Group C against Brazil, Spain, and Japan.
