FC Barcelona Femeni defeated Juventus 2-1 on Wednesday ( 4-1 on aggregate) to book their place in the UEFA Women’s Champions League round of 16.
Barcelona won the first-leg 2-0 in Turin and followed up that performance with another dominant show in the second-leg at the l’Estadi Johan Cruyff, watched by 3,252 fans.
Nigeria Forward Asisat Oshoala did not score – she was denied twice by the Juve goalie – but she played the entire duration of the game.
She was up against Former England international Eniola Aluko; sibling of Super Eagles forward Sone Aluko.
The hosts built a comfortable first half lead through Alexia Putellas (32′) and Stefanie van der Gragt (39′).

19 year-old Andrea Stašková halved the deficit for Juventus in the 79th minute, but the hosts held on to cruise into the next round.
The draw for the round of 16 will be held on 30 September 2019.
