Bay FC Nigerian forward, Asisat Oshoala scored the decisive goal as her team edged Racing Louisville 1-0 in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), on Saturday.
In their first home match after the Olympic break, Bay FC secured a second consecutive victory, tightening their grip on a playoff position.
Oshoala’s crucial strike in the 75th minute sealed the vital three points for her team.
The six-time CAF Women Footballer of the Year recorded her team-leading fourth goal of the season, with three of those being game-winners.
Impressively, all three match-winning goals have come in 1-0 victories, underlining her impact on Bay FC’s playoff push.
With this win, Bay FC has solidified its playoff hopes in its inaugural season, moving into the NWSL’s seventh playoff spot, just one point ahead of Chicago Red Stars, who face league leaders Orlando Pride on Sunday.
