Turkish side Galatasaray has referred Super Eagles and Fenerbahce defender, Bright Osayi-Samuel to the Turkish Football Disciplinary Committee for using inappropriate language.
The Nigerian defender, along with three other Fenerbahce players Serdar Dursun, Joshua King, and Ferdi Kadioglu have been accused of foul language in the changing room following the Istanbul Derby game.
This isn’t Osayi-Samuel’s first brush with controversy in the Turkish Super Lig as he had narrowly avoided a ban for an altercation with a Trabzonspor fan.
According to Turkish Football, Galatasaray lodged a complaint with the PFDK to open a case against the Fenerbahce players.
In response, Fenerbahce also filed a complaint with the PFDK regarding Galatasaray player Kerem Akturkoglu’s conduct during the derby.
Additionally, Fenerbahce doctor Ertugrul Karanlik and administrator Emre Kartal are set to testify at the Istanbul Courthouse concerning events that transpired following the match against Galatasaray.
