Bright Osayi-Samuel delivered an impressive display as Birmingham City secured massive three points over Swansea on Saturday.
It was a dramatic finish at St. Andrew’s, with two substitutes combining deep into stoppage time to give Birmingham all three points.
Lyndon Dykes scored the decisive goal, while Patrick Roberts provided the assist.
Osayi-Samuel featured for 66 minutes. The 27 year old recorded 82% passing accuracy, with four of those passes breaking into the final third.
He also created one chance for his side and completed 100% of his attempted dribbles, showing his ability to push the team forward whenever he carried the ball.
The Nigerian defender registered four interceptions and four ball recoveries, he won 83% of his aerial battles and an impressive 100% of his ground duels.
Osayi has been a revelation for Birmingham this season, he has played in all of the Blues matches this season.
With this performance he is on the right track to become Birmingham player of the season and in the Championship squad of the year.
Speaking after the match, Birmingham head coach Chris Davies praised the character and resilience his side showed to get the win.

“It was a really important victory for us. The players kept believing and kept pushing, and when the chance came, we took it. It shows the spirit in this group, and it’s the type of mentality we need to keep building on.”
The result moves Birmingham eight on the Championship table, behind the playoffs spot on goal difference and two points from the direct promotion places.
