Bright Osayi-Samuel is a major doubt for Nigeria’s 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin Republic and Rwanda due to an ankle injury.
The 26-year-old wingback missed Fenerbahçe ’s 5-0 victory over Caykur Rizespor last weekend and could be sidelined from the upcoming squad.
Osayi-Samuel, who featured in Nigeria’s World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic in June, may be unable to play for the Super Eagles.
The versatile player has featured in six games for Fenerbahçe this season.
Nigeria is set to face the Benin Republic, on September 7, at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
They will then play Rwanda at the Amahoro Stadium in Kigali, three days later.
