Opposition Watch: 22 Cameroon Players In Camp, training hard under close doors

The Coach of the indomitable Lions of Cameroon, Hugo Broos, earlier released a 23-man list made solely of foreign-based players to face the Super Eagles of Nigeria.

Cameroon and Nigeria will be facing off in crucial World Cup qualifying games on friday and next week and the Lions’ coach is leaving nothing to chance.

The first leg of the crunch qualifying games is billed for the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Friday, September 1 and the second leg on September 4 in Yaoundé, Cameroon.

According to reports, the last player that will join the Indomitable Lions is Seattle Sounders left back Nouhou Tolo, who has yet to report for international duty because he was in action for the American club on Monday morning.

Porto star Vincent Aboubakar and Stoke City new recruit Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting are among the 22 players in camp.

The Indomitable Lions workout on Tuesday morning was closed to the public and press, the team will train again this evening at the Military Stadium in Yaounde.

The Belgian tactician has also commented on the Cameroonian Football Association (FECAFOOT)’s recent crisis which FIFA had to intervene.

“I was surprised by the events of the last few days in Cameroon. I do not have a comment because it does not concern me,” Broos told Camfoot.

“I’m here for both games against Nigeria. I hope that these events will not disrupt or influence these two games.

The Super Eagles will hold their first training session on Tuesday evening at Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
