Desire Oparanozie’s beautiful goal for Guingamp against Paris FC Women on Sunday has won the Goal of the Week in the French women’s league.
The Super Falcons striker scored the winner for Guingamp with a 40-yards wonderful strike in the 92nd-minute after Louise Fleury had put the home team ahead for a 2-0 win against Paris FC.
Oparanozie got 48 per cent of the total votes cast for the award to emerge the winner.
Other contenders for the award were Olympique Marseille’s Saki Kumagai who bagged 35 percent, Bordeaux’s Khadija Shaw had 13 percent while Marina Makanza of FC Fleury 91,had three percent of the votes cast.
Oparanozie whose only goal in 2019 was in Nigeria’s 2-1 friendly loss to Canada, will be looking to start for Fredrick Biancalani’s team as they take on Montpellier in their next league game on Saturday.
