Super Eagles forward Henry Onyekuru was in action for Monaco in the French Ligue one clash with visiting Nantes on Sunday.
Onyekuru who started the two previous matches for the club was dropped to the bench, but he came in the 63rd minutes and made the difference for his club after just two minutes.
The former Everton forward replaced Kevin Volland with the scores leveled at 1 – 1 and he instantly turned provider as his delightful through ball found Willem Geubbels who buried the ball into the back of the net to make the score 2 – 1.
Sofiane Diop gave Monaco the lead inside five minutes at the Stade Louis II, but Randal Kolo Muani restored the parity for the visitors in the 18th minute.
Meanwhile, Onyekuru’s compatriot Moses Simon played all the 90 minutes for Nantes but was unable to rescue them from defeat.
