Onyeka’s Brentford Fall 2-1 to Burnley

Frank Onyeka featured for Brentford in their Premier League encounter against Burnley, but his team suffered a 2-1 defeat.

Onyeka, making his 22nd appearance for Brentford, had contributed two assists earlier in the ongoing season.

The match began with Jacob Bruun Larsen converting an early penalty for Burnley, awarded after a VAR review deemed Sergio Reguilon’s challenge on Clarets winger Vitinho an infingment.

And it resulted in the dismissal of Reguilon with a straight red quite early in the game.

Burnley extended their lead in the 62nd minute with a goal from Fofana, putting Brentford under pressure.

Although Kristoffer Ajer managed to score a late header for Brentford, it was not enough to salvage a point for the visitors.

The victory marks Burnley’s second home win of the season, although they remain eight points adrift of safety with nine matches remaining.

Brentford on the other hand sit four points above the relegation zone despite the loss.
