Super Eagles midfielder Raphael Onyedika had an unfortunate start to the 2024/2025 Belgian Pro League season during Club Brugge’s opening match against KV Mechelen.
The season began on Friday with a 1-1 draw from both sides.
Onyedika had a decent game and came close to scoring, hitting the crossbar in the 32nd minute, much to the crowd’s delight.
However, he had to be substituted at halftime due to discomfort from an injury.
In his absence, defending champions Club Brugge struggled to maintain their lead, eventually conceding an equalizer to KV Mechelen, resulting in a draw to start the new season in Belgium.
