Nigeria forward Ifeoma Onumonu continued her impressive form, netting a goal in Montpellier’s 2-0 victory at Saint Etienne on Saturday.
The win marked Montpellier’s second consecutive victory with goals from Lola Gstalter and Onumonu.
Gstalter opened the scoring in the second minute at the Stade Salif Keita, before assisting Onumonu for the second goal just before halftime in the 42nd minute.
The hosts were reduced to ten players in the 90th minute after Chloe Tapia received her second yellow card.
Onumonu, who picked up a yellow card in the 76th minute, was substituted in the 87th minute after another stellar performance.
She has now scored five goals and provided one assist in eight league appearances, with four consecutive goals in her last four matches.
Montpellier currently sit in fourth place in the league with 16 points from nine games.
They will face Dijon next on December 7, 2024.
