Onugkha’s Brace Not Enough as Vejle Falls to Randers

German Onugkha scored twice for Vejle Boldklub in their 3-2 loss to Randers in the Danish Superliga first game of the season on Sunday.
He gave Vejle the lead in the 37th minute, however, Randers scored twice early in the second half to take a 2-1 lead.
Onugkha scored the equalizing goal for Vejle in the 87th minute, but Randers clinched the win with a stoppage-time goal.
Born in Moscow to a Nigerian father and Russian mother, Onugkha joined Vejle on loan in 2021 and was later signed permanently by the club.
He debuted in the Russian Professional Football League in 2017 with FC Zenit Penza.
