Onuachu’s Genk arrive Benidorm for winter training camp

Paul Onuachu and his Genk teammates arrived in Benidorm for winter training camp.

The team settled in on Thursday and immediately got into business with two training sessions, under coach Wouter Vrancken.

Onuachu is among the players tha t had cardio session, before the rest of the team in the full training session.

The Belgian Jupiler league leaders will play their first exhibition game in Benidorm against the Spanish first division club Elche CF on Saturday.

Genk had another exhibition game lines up for Tuesday, December 13, this time against the French second division club FC Metz.

The team will return to Belgium on Wednesday 14 December, with cup game clash with Anderlecht scheduled for Saturday.

Genk enjoying a very good campaign before the break, topping the league table after 14 matches, with Onuachu pivotal to the run with 13 goals in 14 games.

Genk also has the most goals in the league, 45 goals and only 15 against, with 9 away wins in a row.

With at least 11 more home matches at Cegeka Arena, including Club Brugge, Royal Antwerp FC, Union SG, RSC Anderlecht and the Play-Off matches, there is still a lot to play for in 2023.
