Striker Paul Onuachu is unhappy with Genk’s performance against St Truiden in a Belgian Jupiler league match on Sunday.
The Nigerian was involved in the game, but didn’t make any impact as the visitors stunned Genk at home to walk away with the bragging right.
The defeat further put Genk’s hope of playing European football next season in jeopardy as they are already out of title race.
Speaking on the Limburger’s defeat to the lowly rated side, Onuachu said they prepared well for the game, but things didn’t go right on the pitch.
”It was a very disappointing and bad game from me and the team.
“We prepared ourselves for this due during training yesterday. The plan was tactically ready, but nothing came of it… We did not play our game, did not win the second ball and did not go full in the duels”, he said.
“They played at their strongest with the long ball while we couldn’t create enough. There is a lot to say about this match, but now I can’t get enough of it myself, ” he added.
Onuachu is Genk’s top scorer this season with 18 goals in all competitions.
