Super Eagles of Nigeria and Genk of Belgium striker Paul Onuachu has expressed delight as he continues to revel in scoring for the Nigeria national team in back-to-back games following Tuesday’s 3-0 defeat of the Crocodile of Lesotho.
Onuachu speaking in a chat with www.brila.net said scoring boosts the confidence of a striker and he is very happy to have been able to score for the national team in back-to-back games especially after having tried to replicate his club form at the national team previously without success.
“Of course it’s always a good feeling for a striker to score so I’m very proud and yea for the team and for me and especially for Nigerians so I feel good and happy for the country. I mean as a striker you have to be good both with your leg and your head and that’s what I do very very well and of course, to score as a striker is very important, it boosts the morale, the confidence and I have been doing that in my team so I always try to bring it to the national team and last two games it’s been good and yea I’m very proud and happy for the team and for the country.”
