Super Eagles forward Paul Onuachu played his first competitive game of the season for KRC Genk on Sunday.
Onuachu, who has been sidelined with an adductor injury since July 3rd against FC Utrecht, made his return against Zulte Waregem.
The 28-year-old came off the bench in the 72nd minute to replace Hungarian young forward András Németh who started the game.
Onuachu almost marked his return with a goal two minutes after his introduction. Trésor released the striker with a perfect pass, but the Nigerian placed his shot wide.
Genk, however, won the game 4-1 and it was their first victory on the road this season.
Wouter Vrancken’s side settle next to Anderlecht in second place. They’ll receive Cercle Brugge in the Cegeka Arena, next Saturday.
