“Onuachu Is Our First Transfer Target”, Trabzonspor Confirms Bid for Super Eagles Striker

Turkish Super Lig club, Trabzonspor is making another attempt to secure the services of Nigerian international Paul Onuachu from Southampton ahead of the transfer deadline.

Negotiations between the two clubs have been ongoing, but they have yet to reach an agreement.

While Southampton has set a valuation of £13 million for the striker, Trabzonspor has reportedly offered £5 million.

Despite completing pre-season with Southampton, Onuachu has not yet featured in the Premier League this season.

Trabzonspor President Ertugrul Dogan confirmed the club’s continued interest in the player, stating that discussions are still in progress.

“Onuachu is also our coach’s first request. We are talking to him. He is also telling his club. We made a serious offer,” Dogan told Turkish website NTV Spor.

“We made an offer with 6 million euros and bonuses. His club’s demand of 15 million euros continues. The transfer period is ending. I think it will result positively with a loan or purchase like the last time. Our talks are ongoing.”

Onuachu spent the previous season on loan at Trabzonspor, where he impressed by scoring 17 goals across all competitions for the Black Sea Storm.
