Nigeria and former S.S. Lazio midfielder Onazi Ogenyi has joined the rest of the world in mourning the loss of Fiorentina captain, Davide Astori who died in his sleep on Sunday.

According to Fiorentina, the 31-year-old, father of one died after a “sudden illness”.

Onazi, who played for four seasons in the Serie A before joining Trabzonspor, tweeted #RIP with the emoji of a crying face with a picture of the Italy international.

All the Serie A matches scheduled for Sunday were eventually postponed.
