Omotayo targets Men’s singles table tennis final after making the last four

Nigeria men national table tennis team player Jide Omotayo has stated that he is very happy to have secured a place in the last four of his first All Africa games outing causing an upset in the process and now wants a place in the final.

Omotayo speaking in a chat gathered by brila.net said it was indeed a proud moment for him beating Egyptian and one of Africa’s biggest player Saleh Ahmed 4-3 in the quarter final.
He also revealed that he was happy to have avoided compatriot Quari Aruna, Egyptian Omar Assar and Senegalese Ibrahim Diaw so far and hopes to make it to the final now that the Singles table is now left for the four semi finalist.
“I feel so  happy. Actually when I saw the draws for the Singles I was really happy because I don’t have to face players like Quadri Aruna, Omar Assar and also Senegalese Ibrahim Diaw.
“I think I can make it to the final. I am really happy and I am taking every match as it comes, I am happy at the end of the day, my tactics worked out and I’m so happy my first All Africa games I made the semi final.”
Nigeria’s Jide Omotayo will face Veteran Segun Toriola in the semi final.
