Super Eagles defender Kenneth Omeruo leads his club Leganes to victory against Malaga in the Spanish second division game on Saturday.

Omeruo who is one of the leaders at the Madrid Based team, scored a good goal as they secured a hard fought 2-1 victory over their hosts.

The 27-year-old also helped the Cucumber planters record a clean sheet in the game — something they haven’t done in the last five game.

They recorded a clean sheet on the 22nd November, when they beat Real Zaragoza 2-0.

After a scoreless first half, Omeruo opened the scoring in the 51st minute, after combining with Spanish midfielder Ruben Pardo.

Substituted Juan Muñoz Muñoz added the second goal in the 79th minute and secured a 0-2 win.

The win moved Leganes to 15th position on the table with 25 points in 21 matches.

Leganes would be back on action again on the 2nd of January 2022. They will travel to Real Valladolid.
