Olympic Gold medalist and track star, Tori Bowie was pregnant and in labor when she passed away, reports have confirmed.

The coroner’s report on her cause of death stated that on May 2, 32-year-old Bowie was discovered dead in bed at her Florida home.

According to the story, she was around eight months pregnant and “undergoing labor” when she passed away from difficulties related to childbirth.

TMZ, who first broke the news, report that Bowie’s family members phoned the police to check on her wellbeing after going many days without hearing from her.

Tori Bowie was discovered dead inside her house by Orange County Sheriff’s Office deputies.

At the 2016 Summer Olympic women’s 4×100 meter relay, She won a gold medal. She also won silver in the 100-meter dash and bronze in the 200-meter.

Back in 2017, Tori Bowie was crowned the fastest woman in the world after winning the 100-meter dash at the IAAF World Championships in London and in an astounding 10.85 seconds.

The management team for Tori said, “We’ve lost a client, dear friend, daughter and sister,” the sports agency announced at the time of her passing. “Tori was a champion and a shining example of the gospel! Our prayers are with the family and friends since we are really heartbroken.”
