Olympic Games: Bay FC Sends Off Oshoala to Paris

National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) team, Bay FC has celebrated Super Falcons forward Asisat Oshoala after she was chosen to represent Nigeria at the Olympics.

The six-time CAF Women’s Footballer of the Year was among the 18 players selected by coach Randy Waldrum for the upcoming Olympics in Paris, France.

The club presented Oshoala and five other Olympic-bound players with bouquets as a send-off for the games, which will take place from July 26 to August 11.

In a social media post, Bay FC wished the players, stating, “Good luck at #Paris2024, #BayFC is behind you!”

Oshoala is expected to join her fellow Falcons players already in camp in Seville, Spain, to begin their training.

Nigeria will open their campaign with a clash against Brazil on July 25 before facing Spain and Japan later in the group stage.
