Olowookere Releases Squad List for FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup

Head Coach, Bankole Olowookere has announced his final 21-woman squad for the upcoming FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in the Dominican Republic.

The roster includes Harmony Chidi, who was outstanding during the qualifiers, scoring 13 of the Flamingos’ record-setting 25 goals.

Nigeria breezed past Central African Republic, Burkina Faso, and Liberia to secure their spot in the tournament.

Afolabi will marshal the midfield alongside Faridat Abdulwahab and Shakirat Moshood. First-choice goalkeeper Christiana Uzoma will face stiff competition from Sylvia Echefu and Elizabeth Boniface.

Leading the defensive line-up is Taiwo Adegoke, while Harmony Chidi and Peace Effiong headline the forward line.

Drawn in Group A, Nigeria is set to compete against host nation Dominican Republic, Ecuador, and New Zealand.
