Former Arsenal Striker Olivier Giroud has expressed his absolute confidence that Chelsea will end the season amongst the top four places as the campaign enters it’s last round of matches. 

Chelsea realistically need to win both of their remaining matches to maintain hope of claiming a top-four place, while Liverpool must fail to beat Brighton & Hove Albion and Spurs must lose to either Newcastle United or Leicester City.

However, Giroud feels that he can become the club’s “lucky charm” after playing a key role in Chelsea putting together five successive victories in all competition.

According to a quote credited to Giroud on The Mirror saying: “I hope I can be the lucky charm for the Champions League race in the final sprint.

“We don’t have this situation in our hands, but I have experience about these kind of end of season situations. We need to give everything and wait for the other results.

Chelsea will move level on points with Liverpool with victory over Huddersfield Town on Wednesday night.
