Olisa Ndah marked his return to action as Orlando Pirates defeated Marumo Gallants to lift the 2025 Carling Knockout Cup.
The Nigerian defender featured in the final, making his first competitive appearance since September 2024 after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
Ndah’s comeback could not have come at a better time for the Buccaneers, following the departure of Mbekezeli Mbokazi to Major League Soccer side Chicago Fire.
Speaking to Pirates media after the triumph, Ndah expressed his delight and appreciation to the club’s supporters for their unwavering backing.

“We keep making history every time. I think it’s a norm at the team. We try to win everything and I think that’s the most important thing right now,” Ndah said. “So thank you, we enjoy our time and celebrate.”

The centre-back reserved special praise for the fans who turned out in difficult conditions to support the team.
“Big thank you to the fans, not only for today, they’ve always been turning up for us, showing us love even when things are not going well,” he added. “Thank you for coming out even in the rain. We will continue in the second round with good strength. We need everyone, we need them more.”
Ndah, a Nigeria international with three senior caps, is yet to feature under Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle.
