Torino Manager Walter Mazzarri will be getting a new deal according to Club President Urbano Cairo.
Mazzarri was the key figure who pushed for the Serie A side to make a permanent bid for Nigerian Defender Ola Aina after last season, and since his move the defender has been a top performer.
As per football Italia, Cairo confirms he has already discussed a renewal with Walter Mazzarri, reassuring the coach “it will happen very soon.”
The 58 year-old joined II Toro in January of 2018 and has already made a big impact, building a team with “great potential” Cairo stated.
“I truly believe that this is a team with a great potential, but now we have to take one game at a time.
“We can’t look to far ahead. It’s time to focus on our tasks and on every single game.
“At the end of the season, we will count the points we have and see where we have arrived.”
Meanwhile, Torino welcomes Mazzarri’s former side, Inter Milan, to Stadio Olimpico Grande after the international break.
Several of his players including Aina are on international duty, the Nigerian will be in action with the Super Eagles in the 2021 AFCON qualifiers.
