Former Super Eagles assistant coach Sylvanus Okpala has stated that he expects to see gradual improvement of the Nigeria senior national team under new Portuguese coach Jose Pesieiro after leading the Super Eagles to a 2-1 loss against the El Tri of Mexico in his first game in charge.
Okpala speaking in a chat with brila.net gave the team a pass mark under the circumstance and squad involvement with a very open mind to have homebased players also feature as substitutes speaks of a team that can improve under the coach.
He however urged that the team add a bit of seriousness in their next friendly game and try to win for the sake of gaining confidence.
