Bendel Insurance Goalkeeper Amas Obasogie has been drafted to the Super Eagles squad for the 2026 African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
Obasogie was handed a late call-up after Udinese’s Maduka Okoye pulled out of the squad.
Amas Obasogie, has been in spectacular form for Bendel Insurance this season, keeping six clean sheet in seven game and letting in just one goal.
His addition to the team marks the inclusion of another home grown talent in the squad, joining Enyimba goalkeeper Ojo Olorunleke as the second Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) player within the squad.
However, the duo are behind Cypriot based Francis Uzoho in the pecking order.
