Maduka Okoye has been named in the Super Eagles squad for this month’s friendly clash with the Desert Foxes of Algeria.
The Watford’s shot-stoper has not appeared since Nigeria’s African Cup of Nations round of 16 defeat to Tunisia back in February.
The 22-year-old made an error leading to goal and was subjected to abuses and threats on social media.
He however opted to stay away from the team and missed the FIFA World Cup qualification play off against Ghana, and 2024 African qualifiers against Sierra Leone & Sao Tome and Principe.
Maduka will be aiming to reclaim the number one position from Francis Uzoho who took over the position following his self imposed exile.
The international friendly match is slated for Algerian town of Oran on Tuesday, 27th September.
