Okoye disappointed with Watford’s debut

Maduka Okoye has expressed disappointment with the outcome of his Watford’s debut.

Okoye made his long awaited debut for the Hornets at Vicarage Road on Tuesday.

The 22-year-old conceded in each half as Watford suffered a 2-0 League Cup Round of 32 defeat against League One side MK Dons.

The goalkeeper was beaten for the first time in the 45th minute by Darragh Burns, before allowing Matthew Dennis 25-yards rocket to hit the back of his net.

The result however signaled the end to the Hornets adventure in the League Cup.

In his reaction, Okoye said he’s disappointed with the outcome of the game, but expressed gratitude to the fans for their support.

The former Sparta Rotherham shot-stopper is yet to make appearance for Watford in the league.
