Enyimba FC defender Stanley Okorom has stated that the People’s Elephants will salvage the two outstanding league fixtures left after playing out a 2-2 draw at home to FC Ifeanyi Ubah on Wednesday three days after losing 1-0 to Rivers united in Porthacourt.
Okorom speaking in a chat with brila.net stressed that the team are equally aware that other clubs are happy following the People’s Elephants inability to win the second of four outstanding league fixtures and the opportunity lost to have opened what could have been an unassailable lead on top of the Nigeria Professional Football League table.
“It’s very painful but we believe we are going to win the rest two matches we are having on hand. They’re going to be wishing us to be loosing so that we are not going to get on top because they know that if we get on top the league is over. For now the league is still open and we know that by God grace if we get the two matches that we are having on hand we are going to be on top and we believe that we are going to get the two games.”
