David Okereke was in action as Cremonese stunned AS Roma 2-1 on Tuesday.
The Nigerian started and ended the match as the bottom placed team beat Jose Mourinho’s men to record their first win of the season after 24 matches.
Okereke, who has five goals in the league this season, gave a very good account of himself all through as he was involved in many moves that would have resulted to a goal.
Frank Tsadjout gave the hosts the lead in the first half before Leonardo Spinazzola’s equaliser for Roma in the 71st minute.
Daniel Ciofani then scored a late penalty to win the game for Cremonese, as they climbed off the bottom of the table.
Meanwhile Okereke’s compatriot Cyriel Dessers was on the bench for the entire game.
