Galatasaray head coach, Okan Buruk has revealed plans to potentially field star strikers Victor Osimhen and Mauro Icardi together in future matches.

Icardi, who was instrumental in Galatasaray’s title-winning campaign last season, suffered an injury early this season, prompting the club to sign Osimhen on loan from Napoli.

Now, with Icardi back in training, speculation has mounted over who will lead the attack for the reigning Turkish Super Lig champions.

Alongside Icardi and Osimhen, Belgian forward Michy Batshuayi remains fit and available for selection, adding to Buruk’s striking options.

In a statement on the club’s official website, Buruk addressed the situation, suggesting that squad rotation will be key throughout the season but didn’t rule out the possibility of pairing Icardi and Osimhen.

“We have plans and thoughts. What we really need to focus on is teamwork and success. Each of our players is very valuable. Everyone will play,” Buruk explained.

“The possibility of two great players like Icardi and Osimhen playing together will always be very high for us.”

Osimhen has made an immediate impact, providing two assists in his first two starts for the club.
