Chairman of the Ondo State Football Agency Tajudeen Akinyemi as dismissed reports linking midfielder, Ogunniyi Omojesu with a move away from the Club.
Reports in the media earlier this week had it that the influential midfielder is set to follow the duo of Wasiu Jimoh and Anthony Omaka out of the club.
The reports added Omojesu is on the verge of joining Nigeria professional football league giants, Lobi Stars of Markurdi, but Tajudeen Akinyemi now refuted such claims and insisted the player isn’t for sale.
“Ogunniyi Omojesu is not going anywhere, he has a contract with Sunshine, but the contracts of the others Wasiu Jimoh, Omaka Anthony and Jide Fatokun were not renewed.
The experienced administrator added that the Owena Waves are also working on a replacement for the departed players.
“We are in talks with some players that will come in but that depends on the input of the new coach coming in. ” he said.
Meanwhile, Sunshine are set to appoint their former manager Gbenga Ogunbote in place of Kabiru Dogo.
Ogunbote left Lobi Stars after the expiration of his one year deal, but he’d not the favorite to take over from Kabir Dogo who also moving in the opposite direction.
Ogunbote popularly known as the oracle last managed Sunshine Stars in 2012 and he led the team to the semi-finals of the CAF Champions League in 2012 in that period.
