Remo Stars head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, has expressed his delight after signing a new contract that extends his tenure with the club until 2027.

The announcement, made on Tuesday, ends speculation surrounding his future with the two-time NPFL runners-up.

The club confirmed the contract extension via their official X (formerly Twitter) account, stating, “We are glad to announce that Daniel Ogunmodede has signed an extension to remain as the head coach of the club until 2027.”

Ogunmodede, who has been with Remo Stars since 2016, initially as an assistant coach, described his continued association with the club as a deeply personal and fulfilling journey.

“Saying I am glad is an understatement. This is my club, my project. I’ve been here for a couple of years now, working relentlessly hard with a consistent behavioral pattern,” he told the club’s media team.

He added, “I am happy that the club recognizes my efforts and has deemed me worthy of another contract extension. It’s a big motivation to know they appreciate what I’ve done so far.”

Under Ogunmodede’s leadership, Remo Stars finished as NPFL runners-up last season.

The team is set to face AS FAR in the CAF Champions League preliminary round on Sunday.
