Remo Stars head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede has expressed disappointment with his team’s performance against Nasarawa United.
Ogunmodede gave a scathing assessment of his players, he argued that they weren’t efficient during the game.
Remo Stars lost 2-0 to Nasarawa United at the New Jos Stadium, no thanks to two first half goals from John Joshua and Emmanuel Ogbole.
“This isn’t a favourable result for us. Nasarawa United got early chances and took advantage of them, while we didn’t take ours when we had them,” Ogunmodede said after the game.
“I wouldn’t say my boys didn’t play to instructions, they weren’t just efficient enough carrying out instructions, and neither did they show enough dedication and enthusiasm until we conceded those goals.
With the defeat, Remo Stars ended the first stanza 5th on the log, with 14 points from 9 matches.
“It’s not a good way for us to end the first stanza of the league campaign, but we take it in good faith, with the hope to turn around the situation during the second half of the league season.
“We are conscious of the position we are now is not good for a team like ours. We had opportunities to end the first stanza among the top two teams, but it’s unfortunate this is where we are,” He concluded.
