Ogunmodede Invites 26 Players to Super Eagles B Camp Ahead of CHAN 2024

Stand-in Super Eagles head coach Daniel Ogunmodede has unveiled a 26-man squad for a closed-door camping session as preparations ramp up for the 2024 African Nations Championship, CHAN

The invited players are expected to report to the Remo Stars Sports Institute on Monday, January 6, to begin intensive training for the competition.

This marks a historic qualification for the Super Eagles B team, as they defeated Ghana’s Black Galaxies 3-1 in Uyo last week after a goalless first leg in Accra.

The victory secured Nigeria’s spot in the CHAN final tournament for the first time in the qualification series.

In recognition of their achievement, Ogunmodede has largely stuck with the squad that sealed Nigeria’s qualification.

Notable names include captain Nduka Harrison Junior, goalkeeper Henry Ozoemena, defenders Sodiq Ismail and Ifeanyi Onyebuchi, midfielder Savior Isaac, and forward Sikiru Alimi.

Other key players retained are goalkeeper Kayode Bankole, defenders Imo Obot and Stephen Manyo, midfielders Musa Zayyad and Rabiu Ali, as well as forwards Adamu Abubakar and Emmanuel Ogbole.

The squad also features new call-ups, including goalkeeper Badmus Gbadamosi of Kwara United and Afeez Bankole from Smart FC.
