Ogunmodede Accepts Responsibility for Remo Stars’ Title Bust

Remo Stars head coach, Daniel Ogunmodede has accepted responsibility for the club’s failure to win the NPFL title this season.

The Ikenne-based club finished second for the second consecutive season, with Rangers claiming the title this year.

Last season, Remo Stars were edged out by Enyimba in the title race.

Ogunmodede acknowledged that the club aimed to secure their maiden NPFL title this season and expressed disappointment over not achieving this goal.

“For my personal target, I term it as a failure for me because the target from the beginning of the season was clear—it was to be one step ahead of what we were last season,” Ogunmodede stated via the club’s media page.

“We were second last season, and we wanted to be first this season, but unfortunately, we slipped and finished second. We want to be better, always; that’s what we want to do,” he concluded.

Remo Stars will participate in the CAF Champions League next season for the second time.
