Ogunbote Optimistic Despite Defeat, Eyes Strong Second Half

Shooting Stars’ technical adviser, Gbenga Ogunbote remains optimistic about his team’s performance in the second half of the season despite their recent defeat against Enyimba.

The Oluyole Warriors resumed their league campaign with a 1-0 loss against Enyimba, with Chijioke Mbaoma netting the decisive goal in the first half.

Reflecting on the defeat, Ogunbote expressed confidence that Shooting Stars would bounce back in their remaining fixtures.

He emphasized the importance of analyzing their shortcomings from the Enyimba game and rectifying them for future matches.

“We still have about eighteen games in the second stanza,” Ogunbote stated in an interview with the club’s media.

“What we need to do is to see what we needed to do that we didn’t do right in this game, and once we get that done, I’m sure we will get it right.”

Looking ahead, Shooting Stars are set to face Plateau United in their next league encounter, where they aim to turn the tide and secure a positive result.
